UrbanFlow

Urbanflow 2006 was a community arts project supported by Bournemouth Art Grant, funded through Bournemouth Borough Council's Arts Development programme, with support from the Art's Council England .
We proposed to make people aware of the existence of the Bourne Stream and its local historical significance ( in the naming of Bournemouth).
This part of the Urbanflow project was called Infiltrate and involved exploring the Bourne Stream from the water tower to Bournemouth Square; promoting its potential for creativity. Infiltrate refers to the stream flowing through the centre of the town.
Our intention was to plot the route by various creative means; sketches, colour studies, painting, printmaking, photographing, collaging, rubbings, documenting, collecting etc. using watery terminology as a starting point for stimulating creativity
We saw the experience of the process being the essential outcome.
